Ned Shamon (7) says good-bye to kindergarten and hello to first grade as he steps into the Warren Prescott Elementary School on Thursday, Sept. 7, as instructional coach Karen Scholz holds the door for him. Students across Boston Public Schools returned for a new term last Thursday, and are full into the new school year.
