John Brophy

Of Hull, formerly of Charlestown

John J. Brophy of Hull, formerly of Charlestown, passed away peacefully on January 12.

He was the husband of the late Loretta Y.(Gravell) Brophy; father of Yvette DiFrummolo and her husband, Robert of Charlestown, Denise Mallozzi and her husband, Jim of Plymouth, Renee Bornheim and her husband, Kurt of Hull, and the late John J. Brophy, Jr. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Robert DiFrummolo, Jr and his wife, Jodi, Janelle Yildizyan and her husband, Alex, Justin DiFrummolo, Louis and Christopher Mallozzi, and great grandchildren: Chloe, Evan , Arianna, Liam and Isabella.

His Funeral Mass will be held in St. Ann’s Church, Samoset Avenue and Lewis Street, Hull on Saturday, February 2 at 11 a.m. Burial will be private and calling hours are omitted. In lieu of flowers, a donation in John’s memory may be made to: Perkins Trust (Perkins School for the Blind), 175 North Beacon Street, Watertown, MA 02472. Michael Leo Kinsella, Jr., LTC, Decorated Veteran of New Hampshire, formerly of Chelsea, Charlestown and

Winthrop.

Michael Leo Kinsella, Jr. died in Manchester, NH at the VA Medical Center on Jan 14 surrounded by his loving family. He was 69 years old.

Born in Charlestown on September 17, 1943, the eldest son of the late Michael Leo and Eileen (Murphy) Kinsella, he graduated from Boston College High School and Boston College. He later graduated from the US Army Command and General Staff College. ‘Mike’ proudly served his country in Viet Nam for three tours of duty where he was awarded two Bronze Stars. After leaving active duty, he served in the Massachusetts National Guard, retiring in 2003 as Lieutenant Colonel. ‘Mike’ was employed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Department of Medical Assistance until his retirement in 2003.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Janice (Malinowski); two daughters, Leigh Ann Kinsella of Windham, NH and Dana V. Kinsella of Danvers. He is also survived by his sister, Sheila K. Wander and her husband, Philip of New York and his brother, Kevin T. Kinsella and his wife, Nancy of Winthrop and by many cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was interred at the New Hampshire Veterans’ Cemetery, Boscawen, NH.

Frank Ward

(September 17, 1952 – January 11, 2013)

Fort Mill SC – Mr. Francis “Frank” Xavier Ward, Jr., 60 of 105 Jackson Street, died Friday, January 11, 2013, at Agape Senior Rehabilitation Center.

Memorial services were held at Fort Mill Church of God. A native of Charlestown, MA, Mr. Ward was a son of Josephine McLaughlin Ward and the late Francis Xavier Ward, Sr.

Surviving in addition to his mother is his wife, Jane Mary Albertina Ward, one son, Anthony Ward; two daughters, Kristina Ward and Emily Becerril; two brothers, John Ward and Danny Ward; two sisters, Kathy Getchell and Maureen Puglielli and two grandchildren, Annabell Becerril and Jasmine Becerril.
