Fresh off his appearance on America’s Got Talent as a solo act, Frank Sinatra tribute show artist, Joey Chiarenza will be teaming up with the 18-piece SOS Band to bring his show to the Sons of Italy in Quincy on October 28, with doors opening at 5:30 p.m.
The show is dubbed a Halloween Show with optional costumes and includes a complete Italian buffet and the comedy of Jody Sloane. The event will be MCed by Paul Santos of the Paul Santos Show.
The North End in Boston’s Little Italy is where Joey fell in love with the sounds of Sinatra’ and they have remained in his heart to this day. “When I grew up, I began singing at family affairs,” shared Chiarenza, who appears weekly on Friday afternoons on WMEX radio. “I would sing my mother’s favorite song, “My Way,” which still makes me tear up when I sing it on stage.”
Now in his 60’s, Chiarenza’s act is widely considered the best Sinatra act in New England. “Teaming up with the SOS Band has taken the show to the next level,” explained Chiarenza, who resides with his wife, Gina, in Peabody MA. “These guys are top notch musicians, and this show allows them to get out there and do what they do best. Wow the crowd. Their band leader Dave Coccia is well-known in the industry and leads a tight big band sound.”
Joey and the SOS Band have upcoming shows at the US Coast Guard Sector in Boston on December 2, Spencer Ma at the Spencer Country Inn on December 16th, NY Eve at the Attleboro Elks Club and February 10th at the Polish American Club in Gardner.
Tickets to the Quincy Show are $55 per person with a table of 10 for $500 and are available on Eventbrite/Joey Chiarenza, via Venmo at todd-civin or by phone at 978-502-1453.
