Emily A. (Green) Howell of Charlestown died peacefully with dignity and courage on July 6 surrounded by her loving family. She was 96 years old.
The daughter of the late Frank and Caroline (Doyle) Green, she was the sister of the late Francis Green and Albina O’Leary; beloved wife of the late J.B. Howell; devoted mother of Barbara Crooker and her husband, Douglas, of Derry, N.H. and Carolyn Doherty and her husband, Steven, of Malden; cherished aunt of Edward O’Leary of Charlestown. She was the Nana of Kelli Flanagan of Malden, Paul, Cheryl and John Whitney, Carolyn Werner, Douglas and Stephen Crooker, all of New Hampshire and great grandmother of Heather, Casie and Brian Whitney, Joshua Severe, Trevor and Shawn Werner, Nathan Pevear, Ryan, Kristina Cheryl, Dylan, Abigail and Ayla Crooker, all of New Hampshire.
Funeral arrangements were by the John H. Sawyer Funeral Home, Charlestown.
