Local Students Achieve Academic Honors

WILLIAMSON ON DEAN’S LIST

Mark Williamson, of Charlestown, was named to the 2018 Dean’s List at Union College.

Williamson is a member of the Class of 2021, majoring in economics.

Comprised annually, the Union College Dean’s List honors students who have a grade point average of 3.5 for the entire academic year and meet certain other requirements.

Union College, founded in 1795 as the first college chartered by the New York State Board of Regents, offers programs in the liberal arts and engineering to 2,100 undergraduates of high academic promise and strong personal motivation. Union, with its long history of blending disciplines, is a leader in educating students to be engaged, innovative and ethical contributors to an increasingly diverse, global and technologically complex society.

WASNIEWSKI EARNS DEAN’S AWARD

AttabelleWasniewski, a member of the Colgate University Class of 2020, has earned the spring 2018 Dean’s Award with Distinction.

Wasniewski is a graduate of Dana Hall School, from Charlestown, (02129). Wasniewski’s current major is economics.

Students who receive a term grade point average of 3.6 or higher while completing at least three courses during the spring 2018 semester earn the Dean’s Award with Distinction.

Colgate offers 56 majors to a diverse student body of approximately 2,900 undergraduate students, and it supports 25 Division I athletic teams.

 

STUDENTS ON DEAN’S LIST

Sophia Liu, the daughter of Yan Na Liu and Wei Hao Liu, both of Charlestown and a graduate of Boston Latin School, .and Peter O’Donnell the son of Julia O’Donnell of Charlestown and a graduate of Boston Latin Academyhave been named to the dean’s list for the winter/spring  term at Centre College, an honor reserved for students who maintain at least a 3.60 grade point average.

Centre College, founded in 1819, is ranked among the U.S. News top 50 national liberal arts colleges.
