Joan Doe

Charlestown resident

Joan C. (Ferris) Doe of Charlestown died on Nov. 30.

She was the former wife of Eugene Doe; devoted mother of Billie Jo Watson and her husband, Warren, of Medford and Eugene Doe and his partner, Raymond Lacey, of Georgia and sister of Robert Ferris and Jean D’Antnono, both of Nevada. She is also survived by three grandchildren.

At the request of the family, her funeral was private with arrangements by the John H. Sawyer Funeral Home, Charlestown.

James O’Keefe

Charlestown resident

James J. O’Keefe of Charlestown died on Nov. 29.

The husband of Ellen O’Keefe, he was the loving father of Jamie O’Keefe and his wife, Nora, of Washington, D.C., and Meghan Daniels and her husband, Peter, of Charlestown; adoring grandfather of Caroline Ryan O’Keefe and Zachary Laurence Daniels; brother of Anne O’Brien, Patricia Devine, and Christopher O’Keefe and loving uncle of many nieces and nephews. His large extended family and his enormous “family of friends” will miss his courtesy, his love of life, his eccentricities and his passions.

Funeral arrangements were by the Rocco-Carr-Henderson Funeral Home, Everett. Memorial donations may be made to the Fund for the Enjoyment of Children at Mass General Hospital for Children c/o MGH 165 Cambridge St., Suite 600, Boston, Ma. 02114. Burial was private.

Donovan, Jr. of Windham, NH, Christopher M. Donovan of Medford, Matthew J. Donovan of Charlestown, Patrice O’Connor of Ashburn, VA. Grandfather “Pop” of Carolyn, Amanda, Michael, Robert, Amy, Katherine, Patrick, Emily, Lucy, Joseph and Aidan. Brother of Michael A. Donovan of Charlestown and Ann Hand of Freedom, NH. Funeral from the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Avenue, MEDFORD Friday at 9:00 A.M. Funeral Mass in St. Joseph Church, 114 High Street, Medford at 10:00 A.M. Visiting hours Thursday 4:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. Interment Oak Grove Cemetery. Late Disabled American Veteran US Air Force, Korean War. Late MDC Policeman and Suffolk Superior Court Officer, Charlestown School Boys.
