Police Briefs 12-13-2012

Warrant Arrest

12/04/12 – Officers on Vine Street placed an individual under arrest for a violation of probation warrant issued out of U.S. Federal Court.

Assault and Battery

12/05/12 – A victim on Pearl Street reported that as a result of an argument with a neighbor, a fight resulted, during which the victim was punched in the face. Complaints will be sought in court.

Larceny

12/05/12 – A store employee on Austin Street reported some time between 7 and 8 p.m., unknown person(s) stole an Apple iPhone and replaced it with a fake Sprint phone. Detectives are investigating.

Investigate Person

12/08/12 – A victim on Main Street reported while he was attempting to detain a shoplifter, a confrontation resulted, during which the victim was assaulted. The suspect fled the store, but left his Massachusetts driver’s license on the counter. An investigation is underway.

Drugs

12/08/12 – As a result of an ongoing drug investigation in the area of Essex Street, two individuals were placed under arrest for possession of a Class E substance (Oxycodone) with intent to distribute.

Trespassing

12/09/12 – An officer on Monument Street observed an individual known who had a no- trespass order against him on the property. The suspect will be summonsed to Charlestown Court.

Larceny

12/08/12 – A victim on Pleasant Street reported some time between 10 p.m. and midnight, someone stole her wallet from her coat. Video footage of the incident is being reviewed.

Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon

12/11/12 – A victim on 13thStreet reported while she was walking with a friend, a male approached them and, for no reason, became verbally abusive. After passing them, the suspect picked up a tree branch, walked up behind the victim and struck her in the back. Police were called and located the suspect on Chelsea Street, where he was placed under arrest.

Larceny in a Building

 12/11/12 – A victim in Monument Square reported an intercom system valued at $1,500 was stolen from the building.
