Eleanor Cottier

South Dennis resident

Eleanor B. (Kirn) Cottier of South Dennis, formerly of Shrewsbury, died on February 22. She was 80 years old.

She was the loving wife of 41 years and best friend of Edward J. Cottier; beloved sister of the late Roberta Fogerty; devoted aunt of Elizabeth Fogerty and Robert Fogerty, both of New York and is also lovingly survived by two sisters-in-law a brother-in-law, and many other nieces and nephews.

Funeral arrangements were by the Frank H. Carr Funeral Home, Charlestown. Burial was at the V. A. National Cemetery, Bourne. James Donlan

Charlestown resident

James J. Donlan of Charlestown died on February 22.

He was the beloved son of the late Michael Francis and Mary (Griffith) Donlan; devoted brother of Francis G. Donlan and his wife, Carol of Billerica; uncle of Susan Morgan and Francis G. “Grif” Donlan, both of New Hampshire.

Francis ‘Fergy’ Ferguson

Past Grand Knight

Francis J. “Fergy” Ferguson of Charlestown died on February 20.

A US Army veteran of World War II, he was the Past Grand Knight of Bunker Hill Council #62 K. of C. 61 year member of Floor Coverers Local #2168 and a member of  The 520 Club and the Old Charlestown Schoolboys Association.

He was the beloved husband of Josephine B. (McGovern) Ferguson; devoted father of Maureen Hagerty and her late husband, Richard, Joanne Etherton and her husband, Gilbert “Gigi,” all of Charlestown and Francis J. Ferguson, Jr. and his wife, Penny of Marshfield;; brother of Audrey Devlin of Charlestown and Joan Sodergren of Stoneham and is also survived by five grandchildren, five great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

Funeral arrangements were by the John H. Sawyer Funeral Home, Charlestown. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. Catherine ‘Rita’ O’Malley

Of Everett, formerly of Charlestown

Catherine “Rita” O’Malley of Everett, formerly of Charlestown, died peacefully at home on February 22 surrounded by her loving family. She was 81 years young. The beloved wife of the late Paul F. O’Malley, she was the loving mother of Bernice Stover, Rosemary Massey, Cathy Ahearn, Robert Flaherty, Debby Micozzi, Paula Doucette, Butch O’Malley, Scott O’Malley and their loving spouses; loving sister of the late Margaret Costin and the late Helen Fitzpatrick. She is also survived by 20 cherished grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She will be missed at her NH summer camp, where she was well loved. Rest in peace Mom, we love you.

Of Billerica, formerly of Charlestown

Elizabeth A. (Meyers) Donovan of Billerica, formerly of Charlestown, died on February 20,

She was the wife of the late James L. Donovan; mother of Heidi Donovan-Ayers and her husband, Jerry, James Donovan and his wife, Denise and Daniel Donovan, all of Billerica, Timothy Donovan and his wife, Andrea of Chelmsford and Bernard Donovan and his wife, Karen of Dracut; sister of Joan Davis of Florida and is also survived by eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was also the grandmother of the late Shayna Donovan.
