The Children’s Quarters preschool class celebrated the Week of the Young Child by hosting a Lemonade Stand outside the
center on April 14 at the corner of First Avenue and Eighth Street in the Navy Yard. The lemonade was given away free, but donations were gratefully accepted for the children in Japan who have lost so much. Thanks to nice weather and very generous neighbors, the children were able to collect $105 for the Red Cross.
