Charles Fee

Of Watertown, formerly of Charlestown

Charles E. “Charlie” Fee of Watertown, formerly of Sudbury and Charlestown, died peacefully on April 10 after a brief illness.

Born in Charlestown, he especially enjoyed working outdoors and with his hands. He was an avid walker and looked forward to meeting with friends and neighbors along his daily route.

He was the husband of 45 years of the late Virginia M. (Nugent) Fee of Watertown, son of the late John and Regina (Doherty) Fee, brother of the late Edward, Richard and John, and his wonderful late sister Eleanor Crockett with whom he shared a special, lifelong bond. He is survived by his son, Michael, daughter-in-law, Michele Fee Smith, and grandchildren Natasha and Alexi of Sudbury.

Funeral arrangements were by the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home, Watertown. Burial was at Calvary Cemetery, Waltham. Frederick Fallon, Jr.

Professional Engineer

Frederick E. Fallon, Jr. of Milton, formerly of Hyde Park, died on April 8. He was 77 years old.

A Professional Engineer and Consultant Cape Clear LLC, he was a US Air Force veteran of the Korean War and a member of the Norwood Aero Club and the National Society for Professional Engineers.

He was the beloved husband of Bonnie G. (Gartley); devoted father of Cynthia L. of Florida, Stephen C. of Charlestown and Jeffrey C. Fallon of Berlin; brother of Robert Fallon of Holbrook and Joan Corsi of Hyde Park and is also survived by his grandchildren Cameron and Lillian Fallon.

Margaret Ann “Peggy” Owens

Charlestown resident

Margaret Ann “Peggy” (Devlin) Owens of Charlestown died suddenly on April 4 in Concord, CA. She was the beloved wife of the late Jim Owens of Charlestown and the devoted mother of Mary C. Long, her husband Tim and grandson Tadhg of Concord, CA and Jim Owens and Rochelle of Wakefield, MA. Outside of her immediate family, she is survived by her many friends on both coasts.

Funeral arrangements were by Ouimet Funeral Home in Concord, CA where she had been living for the past two years, followed by cremation. A celebration and remembrance of her life is planned for April 16 from noon to 4 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus in Charlestown. All are welcome to attend.

Mary Hamill

Braintree resident

Mary A. (Gilmore) Hamill of Braintree, formerly of Quincy, died on April 2 after a long illness. She was 78 years old.

Born and raised in Quincy, she graduated from North Quincy High School, and has lived in Braintree for 47 years. Mrs. Hamill worked for Paine, Webber and Curtis Investments many years ago. She was a daily communicant and a member of the Legion of Mary.

She was the beloved wife for 55 years of Thomas Hamill; devoted mother of Marianne Spencer of Carver and her husband, Paul Bevacqua, Maureen Copeland of Rockland and her husband, Steven, and Thomas J. Hamill of Charlestown and his wife, Erin; beloved sister of John B. Gilmore of Quincy and his wife, Patricia; loving grandmother of Matthew, Kristen, Steven, Alicia, Patrick, Mara, Grace, Aidan and one more on the way.

Theresa “Lois” McLaughlin

Charlestown resident

Theresa “Lois” (Caldwell) McLaughlin  of Charlestown died on April 12.

She was the beloved wife of the late John E. “Squeaky” McLaughlin.  Loving mother of John and his wife Sandra of Reading Mandy Simmons and her husband Robert of Peabody and Timothy and his wife Jillian of Revere.  Dear sister of Ralph Caldwell and Catherine Shea both of Charlestown.  She is also survived by her grandchildren, Annie, Katie, Jaden, Samantha, Marissa, Ava, Peyton, Raymond and several nieces and nephews.  Funeral will be  from the Murphy & Turnbull Funeral Home, 322 Bunker Hill St. on Friday April 15 at 9 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Francis de Sales Church, Charlestown at 10 a.m..  Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.  Visiting hours will be held in the funeral home on Thursday, April 14 from 4 to 8 p.m.  Interment will be private.  In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
