When a woman slips on that perfect dress, she exudes boldness.
Her posture is poised, her smile glows, and her wrists jingle with metallic bangles. It is the radiant expression that Best Dressed Co-Owner Nikoleta Lirantonakis loves to see when styling her clients. Now that she and her sister and co-owner, Vicky Lirantonakis, have launched their new personal styling service last month, the two are excited to bring fashion directly to ladies’ doorsteps.
“We started this personal styling service to offer it to women who can’t make it over to Charlestown or want the feeling of getting that glamorous aspect in the privacy of their own homes,” says Nikoleta, who believes accessorizing with jewelry completes an ensemble.
Whether preparing for a girls’ night out, bridal shower, birthday party, or any celebration, Best Dressed offers an assortment of the latest designer gowns and cocktail dresses, sizes zero-14, that can be rented for a five-day period.
“We continue to get new things in weekly,” says Nikoleta, who is hanging new fall inventory. “We love to have a big variety. We hope there is something here for everyone.”
Boston’s only rental boutique will deliver 15-20 frocks, clutches, jewelry, and shoes — based on inspirational images, a current photograph of the client, and body shape – to your home, office, or hotel room within a 20-mile radius of Boston.
“You see the look on their faces change when they feel good about the outfit,” Nikoleta explains. “When I’m styling someone I look for that moment. That’s when you know you’ve found the right dress.”
The sisters’ interest in fashion began when they were little girls. Nikoleta remembers her mom dressing the two of them in elaborate outfits to go to church, school, and play dates.
When a friend of theirs was unhappy with her dress, Nikoleta and Vicky decided to open a boutique in March 2015 that would provide women with an affordable alternative to purchasing expensive gowns that they may only wear once.
“Growing up, I remember that feeling of loving to get dressed up. This idea felt perfect for us to do together,” Nikoleta says. “It’s fun working together. We’re really similar, but at the same time, bring a lot to the table.”
