The Boston Redevelopment Authority recently approved a $4 million transit orientated project on Rutherford Avenue.
The Rutherford Landing project at 463 Rutherford Ave. promises to bring transit-oriented housing to Charlestown. The $4 million project will replace a dilapidated, three-story building at 463 Rutherford Avenue with a four-story residential building.
The development, proposed by 463 Rutherford Avenue LLC, an entity managed by Bruce Daniel of Weston and Paul Adamson of South Boston, is two blocks from Sullivan Station, and will offer residents access to MBTA buses and the Orange Line.
The project will create 15 residential units, 26 parking spaces and a common roof deck.
In 2009 Adamson built an attractive 15-unit residential project located at 333-339 West Broadway in South Boston.
The five-story project consisted of 15 units that were one and two bedrooms and all featured exterior decks. The project received praise from neighbors.
In 2013 Daniel began developing a $12.5 million renovation project of a South Boston church that offered 29 condominiums. The Residences at St. Augustine are located at 225 Dorchester St. The church, built in 1874, closed in 2004 and has remained vacant since.
