I’d like to thank President Sally Klessens, Secretary Carolyn Wrenn Shannon, and Asst. Secretary Lisa McGoff Collins and the entire Old Schoolgirls Association for awarding me a Scholarship at the Annual Dinner held on September 15, 2013. Since I was away at school,my grandmother, Lois Lynch O’Connell, and my Dad, Ed O’Connell, accepted on my behalf. I understand there was an overflow crowd at the Knights of Columbus, and that it was a wonderful event!
The scholarship money has already been put to good use to buy books and supplies for the current semester. I appreciate your generosity, and will try to live up to the spirit of the Charlestown Schoolgirl organization both academically and in my volunteer activities as I continue my college career at Syracuse University.
