Police Briefs 04-11-2013

Assault and Battery

04/02/2013 – A victim reported while walking on Walford Way at around 3:28 p.m., a suspect approached him and stated he had a gun, although the victim said he didn’t see a weapon. The suspect then punched the victim in the face before fleeing the scene.

Officers searched the area for suspect, and District A-1 detectives were assigned to investigate the incident further.

Investigate Person

04/04/2013 – A victim reported an unknown male suspect entered a Main Street store at around 6:46 a.m. and told him to open the cash register. The victim refused, and the suspect fled the store in an unknown direction.

Unarmed Robbery

04/04/2013 – A victim reported an unknown suspect entered a Bunker Hill Street business at around 9:07 a.m., went behind the counter and grabbed two large plastic-cups full of change. Two male workers wrestled with the suspect and managed to retrieve the money before the suspect fled the store.

Weapon Found

04/04/2013 – Officers responded to the area of O’Meara Court at around 12:15 p.m. for a report of a found weapon. Upon arrival, police observed a weapon in the bushes, which was processed and removed from the scene.

Breaking and Entering

04/04/2013 – At around 3 p.m., a victim reported unknown person(s) broke into a West School Street construction site.

Ballistics – Evidence Found

04/08/2013 – A witness reported some ballistic evidence was found in the area of Dunstable Street at around 1:40 a.m., following a report of shots fired in the area earlier that morning.

OUI

04/08/2013 – At around 2:50 a.m., officers received a radio call for a motor vehicle swerving in and out of traffic.  Police then observed a vehicle positioned sideways in the middle of the road, blocking traffic on Rutherford Avenue.

When officers approached the vehicle on foot, the suspect fled the scene at a high rate of speed. The suspect’s vehicle then ran several red lights before eventually stopping.

The suspect was placed under arrest and transported to the police station for booking.

Attempted Unarmed Robbery

04/08/2013 – Officers responded to O’Reilly Way at around 11:15 p.m. for a reported robbery of a Domino’s deliveryman.  On arrival, police met and spoke with the victim, who stated two unknown white males tried to rob him, but the victim said he was able to flee from the suspects before they took anything.

Officers checked the area for the suspects without any results.
