For the Charlestown Com-munity there has been a tremendous amount of interest in the construction of the new Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital at Yard’s End these past few years. For many in the community, Spaulding is already well known for its world class reputation in delivering rehabilitative care. Now as Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital prepares to open its doors at the end of April, the staff are looking forward getting to know the Charlestown Community for themselves and sharing their health knowledge and resources with their new neighbors.Spaulding is proud to offer a “Free Open House and Health Fair” for the Charlestown Community as a thank you for their warm welcome and enthusiasm on Sunday, April 21, from 1 -5 p.m. at the new Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital at 300 First Avenue. This will be a chance for attendees to tour the new facility and learn about the community programming and clinics Spaulding will offer.
This FREE event will have a number of family friendly activities including:
– Special Guests from the New England Patriots and New England Revolution including a chance for autographs.
– The Mix 104.1 Street team and Charlestown resident Karson Tager from Karson & Kennedy In The Morning.
– A kid’s activities area including a Teddy Bear Clinic, so bring your favorite stuffed friend for a check up!
– Healthy Snacks
There will also be a number of health information and screenings including blood pressure, massages, grip strength, concussion awareness, running screenings and autism awareness all from the world class clinicians at Spaulding.
