Multiple Transgressions
A stuffy old English teacher,
I admit to being culpable
Of also being a preacher
About the misuse of “multiple.”
Now, one can have many romances
Or contract numerous diseases.
One can take a lot of chances
And have several nephews and nieces.
But “multiple” is not the word.
Such violations make me gingery,
And when such nonsense has occurred,
I threaten multiple injuries.
