POLICE/COMMUNITY MEETING: Meet the police & discuss public safety issues on the  third Tuesday of every month at the police station, 20 Vine Street, at 6:30 p.m., 2nd floor, community room.

Drugs

11/19/12 – As a result of a drug investigation in the area of the Bunker Hill housing development, an individual was placed under arrest for possession of a Class A substance (heroin) with intent to distribute.

Possession of a Firearm

11/20/12  – At about 7 p.m., officers on patrol in the area of Walford Way observed a suspect in the hallway of the development. Upon seeing police, the suspect fled. Officers gave chase, at which time the suspect threw a black Taurus handgun to the ground. The firearm was recovered, and the suspect was taken into custody. Drugs were also seized during the arrest.

Larceny

11/21/12 – A victim on Salem Street reported he left a blue suitcase in front of his home. When he realized this, he went out to retrieve it, but the briefcase was gone.

Robbery

11/24/12 – A victim reported while she was walking from the Community College MBTA stop at around at about 10:30 p.m., a white male wearing a black jacket ran up to her and sprayed pepper-spray into her eyes. The suspect then punched the victim, knocking her to the ground, before stealing her handbag. The victim ran after the suspect who got into a grey minivan, which fled up School Street towards Main Street.

Trespassing

11/24/12 – Officers on O’Reilly Way Court placed an individual under arrest for violation of a no-trespass order.

Breaking and Entering – Residence – No Force

11/23/12 – A victim on Crescent Street reported sometime between 8 p.m. on Nov. 22 and 10 a.m. the next day, unknown person(s) entered her home and stole various pieces of jewelry. It was unknown at the time of the report how entry was made, although the victim told officers she saw workers in the building before she left. Detectives are investigating.

Assault and Battery

11/25/12 – A victim on Bunker Hill Street reported while she was walking down the street, a car pulled up past her, and a black male wearing a hooded parka exited the vehicle before grabbing the victim from behind. The victim fell to the ground and screamed, at which time, the suspect jumped into a blue, four-door sedan and fled the area. The victim believes he was trying to force her into the car but fled the scene because she screamed.
