Charlestown Resident

Michael J. Burton of Charlestown died suddenly on July 7. He was 51 years old.

He was the loving father of Bridget Burton; beloved son of Judy M. (Ring) Burton and the late Robert E. Burton; devoted brother of Kathy Riley and her husband, Richard, Nancy Murphy, Robert Burton Jr. and his wife, Patricia, Maureen Minichello and Jim Burton and the loving uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Kevin Keane

Florida Resident

Kevin Keane of Florida died recently.

He was the loving father of Kristy and Ryan Keane; devoted son of Leo and Catherine Keane, dear brother of Robin Parsons, David Keane, Debra O’Reilly and Leo Keane and is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

His Funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Mary’s Church, Charlestown.

Frances Delaney

Nahant Resident

Frances T. Delaney of Nahant died on July 2. She was 88 years old.

She was the sister of the late George T. Delaney, John D. Delaney, William F. Delaney, Anna G. Delaney, and Mary Rose Delaney; aunt of Cecile Delaney of Nahant, John Delaney of Nahant and Conway, NH, David Delaney of Salem, Kevin Delaney of Hanson, Brian Delaney of Georgetown, and Paul Delaney of Nahant. She also leaves many grandnieces and grandnephews.

A private Graveside Service will be held in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden. At the request of the family, visiting hours are respectfully omitted. Dorchester Resident

Margaret E. (Sanzi) Powers of Dorchester died on July 2. She was 48 years old.

She was the loving daughter of Richard Sanzi Jr. and the late Barbara (Powers); loving mother of Barbara, Michael and Ricky; devoted sister of Robert, Kathy, Nancy, Derek, Freddie, Geraldine, Danny, Barbara Ann and the late Tony and is also survived by four grandchildren.

Retired from Daniel’s Printing of Everett

Joseph A. McLaughlin of Everett died unexpectedly on July 6. He was 74 years old.

A retired employee of Daniel’s Printing of Everett, he was the beloved son of the late Anthony J. and Margaret L. (Cremins) McLaughlin; devoted brother of David J. McLaughlin of San Diego, California and Sister Laura Ann “Betty” McLaughlin SP of Ocean Grove, N.J.; loving cousin of Connie Tracy and her late husband, Tom Tracy of Everett.

Of Somerville, formerly of Charlestown

Lillian R. (Whalen) Crowley of Somerville, formerly of Charlestown, died on July 6. She was 87 years old.

The beloved wife of the late Daniel J. Crowley, she was the devoted mother of James Whalen and his wife, Marsha of Tilton, N.H., George Whalen of Winthrop and Edward Whalen and his fiancé, Lisa McGrath of Everett; loving Nana to many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; beloved sister of the late Helen Killeen, Evelyn Young, Irene White and James Whalen.
