Police Briefs 01-05-2012

Warrant Arrest 

12/26/11 – Officers on Bunker Hill Street placed an individual under arrest for an outstanding Somerville Court warrant charging larceny.

Assault and Battery 

12/26/11 – As a result of a fight on Polk Street, complaints were sought in Charlestown Court, charging both parties with assault and battery.

Larceny 

12/27/11 – A victim on Monument Street reported an individual took from her home an iPad and a Playstation 3 video game system. The suspect is known, and charges will be sought.

Robbery – Firearm 

12/27/11 – The victim, a taxi driver, stated to police he was flagged down on Polk Street by a white male wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt. He stopped, and the suspect opened the door brandishing a small black handgun. The suspect demanded money, but did not get any. The suspect then took the victim’s cell phone and fled into the Bunker Hill housing development.

Drugs 

12/27/11 – As a result of an ongoing drug investigation in the area of Cambridge Street, an individual was placed under arrest for possession of a Class A substance with intent to distribute.

Larceny 

12/31/11 – A victim on Main Street reported an individual, who is known to him, stole a laptop from his home. The matter is under investigation.

Investigate Person 

12/27/11 – A victim on Old Landing Way stated she received a phone call from a man claiming to be a Comcast representative offering a pre-paid money card deal for services. The victim said she felt something wasn’t right and contacted Comcast. Comcast stated no such deals are being offered and that this was some type of a scam.
