Police Briefs 09-22-2011

09/13/11 – Drugs

As a result of an investigation by officers on Medford Street drugs were seized and an individual was issued a citation for possession of marijuana.

09/14/11 – Breaking and Entering, Non-residence

Officers responded to First Avenue and observed damage to the front door of a local establishment. Further investigation revealed someone had in fact broken in and money was taken from the cash register. Detectives are investigating the incident.

09/14/11 – Breaking and Entering, Residence

A victim on Bunker Hill Street reported that, while at home, she heard noise coming from upstairs. She went to her porch and observed a male exit the window to the roof, then flee down an alley out to the street. The suspect left personal items in the home that are now in the custody of A-1 detectives pending investigation.

09/14/11 – Larceny

A victim on Jefferson Avenue states while unloading groceries she left her purse outside. When she retrieved the purse she saw that her wallet was missing.

09/17/11 – Shots Fired

Officers responded to carney court for a report of shots fired. No evidence was found that would confirm a shooting took place and the person who placed the initial 911 call would not come forward with any more information. 

09/17/11 – Assault and Battery on a Police Officer

As a result of a radio call for a loud group on a rooftop on Bunker Hill Street, an individual was placed under arrest for assault and battery on a police officer. Suspect was also found to be in possession of marijuana.
