Carol O’Neil

Of Dorchester, formerly of Charlestown

Carol T. (Welsh) O’Neil of Dorchester, formerly of Charlestown, died on September 14.

A former nurse’s aide at Marian Manor Nursing Home and lunch mother at the William E. Russell Middle School for many years, she was the beloved wife of Joseph E. Sr. for 53 years, the loving mother of Maureen E. and her husband, A. Donald Piccarini, of Braintree, Joseph E. O’Neil Jr. of Dorchester, Carolanne and her husband, Michael D. McColgan, of Quincy, Daniel C. O’Neil of Dorchester, and Sheila M. and her husband, Kenneth J. Clark, of Milton; sister of Bernadette C. Mulligan of Weymouth, Thomas F. Welsh of Maine, Jeannie M. Plant of Quincy, and the late Robert Welsh and Patricia A. Diggins and daughter of the late Charles T. and Alyce M. (Gibbons) Welsh. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Dorothy Pratt

Worked at Filene’s and The Life Focus Center

Dorothy E. (Fitzpatrick) Pratt of Charlestown died on Sept. 14.

She was a former employee of Filene’s of Boston and a former aide at The Life Focus Center.

She was the beloved wife of the late Charles H. Pratt; devoted mother of Charles E. Pratt of Charlestown, Thomas N. Pratt (B.P.D.) and his wife, Janet, of South Boston and the late Michael J, Pratt; beloved sister of Marion Hughes of Malden, Robert Fitzpatrick of Charlestown, Betty Gorsuch of Medford, Anne Lovenberg of New Jersey, Joseph Fitzpatrick of Charlestown and the late Helen Geno, William, Edward, Jack. Warren, Gerald, Francis and Paul Fitzpatrick; loving aunt of Ruthann Hoffman and many other nieces and nephews.

Caroline Elizabeth Goodhue

Stow resident

Caroline Elizabeth Goodhue of Stow, formerly of Wayland, died unexpectedly on Sept. 15.

She was the daughter of Lisa T. Dana of Stow and Charles G. Goodhue of Northbridge; sister of Charles E. Goodhue and his wife, Catherine, of Charlestown, Marissa B. Goodhue of Stow, and her dog, Savannah. She is also survived by her maternal grandfather, Richard B. Dana of Savannah, GA.

A Memorial Mass celebrating her life will be held on Saturday, Sept. 25 at 11 a.m. at St. Ann’s Parish, Cochituate Road, (Rte 27) Wayland. Member of Ladies Auxiliary of the Malden Irish/American Club

Helen S. (Gilgunn) Kelly of Charlestown died on Sept. 18.

She was a member of The Ladies Auxiliary of The Malden Irish/American Club and a former employee of The Cambridge Hampton Inn.

The wife of the late William J. Kelly; she was the devoted mother of Nancy Kelly of Charlestown, Karen Comeau and her husband, Richard, of Weymouth; loving grandmother of Gabrielle Comeau and Jake Minear; beloved sister of John Gilgunn of Melrose and the late Rose Strano, Mary Civilikus, Joseph, Thomas and James Gilgunn; loving aunt of several nieces and nephews.

Marie E. (Condon) O’Connor of Charlestown died on September 16.

She was the beloved wife of 60 years of Richard F. O’Connor; devoted mother of Beth Klokeid of Perth, Western Australia, Michael P. O’Connor, MSP of No. Andover, Marie E. Sweeney of Melrose, Thomas G. O’Connor of Arlington, Richard F. O’Connor of Falmouth and the late Sean R. O’Connor; sister of the late William, Daniel and Dennis Condon, Ruth Thompson, Margaret Sullivan, Lucy McCarthy and Anne Baldwin and the Nana of 14 grandchildren.
