THANK YOU, CHARLESTOWN!
To the Editor,
What an extraordinary Halloween!
This is the magic of Charlestown. Neighbors helping neighbors. Families creating memories. Businesses giving generously. Volunteers working tirelessly. And an entire community coming together to make something wonderful happen.
For 41 years, the magic of Charlestown has come alive on Halloween night in Monument Square, in The Training Field and on the surrounding streets. Once again, our historic neighborhood was transformed into a celebration of community, generosity, music, laughter, costumes, and thousands of happy faces!
From the stirring sounds of the Tony Barrie Marching Band circling the Bunker Hill Monument to the fabulous Love Dog Band filling the Square with music and dancing, and for Joe Biwoswarski Disc Jockey for joining us this year. It was magical!
We were especially honored to welcome Commander Jon-Andrew D. Anderson, Commanding O the 79th Officer of USS Constitution, and his sailors, along with our beloved Paul Revere, to share in this wonderful Charlestown tradition.
And, of course, a special salute to James Duane, our legendary Monument Square Wizard, whose magic has delighted generations of children!
With heartfelt gratitude to our public partners

A special thank-you to the residents of Monument Square, The Training Field and the surrounding streets! You are the heart of this celebration. Your generosity, patience, hospitality, decorations, creativity and thousands of treats make this one of Charlestown’s most cherished traditions.
This extraordinary community celebration continues – welcoming generations of families and visitors beneath the glow of the Bunker Hill Monument. The greatest magic isn’t the costumes, candy, music, or decorations. It’s the people.
It’s the kindness of neighbors, the generosity of local businesses, the dedication of volunteers, and the remarkable spirit of a community that comes together, committed to a safe, fun and memorable Halloween celebration, while we preserve our history and our assets.
With enormous gratitude to everyone who made our 41st Halloween unforgettable.
Happy Halloween — and Huzzah for Charlestown!
