Harvest on Vine food pantry, the heart of the Charlestown Catholic Collaborative, congratulates three pantry volunteers who will receive the Bishop Cheverus Medal on November 23rd, 3PM, at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross, 1400 Washington Street, Boston. The recipients were nominated by our pastor, Fr. John Sheridan.
This year’s honorees are Marian Tse of St. Mary-St. Catherine Parsish, and Steve and Geraldine Murphy of St. Francis De Sales Parish. They were chosen for their service to the Church and God’s people. Marian, Steven, and Geraldine continually perform corporal works of mercy at Harvest on Vine food pantry and the St. Vincent De Paul Society, where they assist the neediest families in Charlestown with food, furniture, and kindness. They show us how to put into practice the Catholic preference for the poor, the Church’s option for the destitute and vulnerable. Marian, Steve, and Geraldine quietly serve the least of our sisters and brothers with love and compassion.
