Let’s Get Some Art on the Utility Boxes
To the Editor,
So many gray and green utility boxes around Charlestown that could use some beautiful, vibrant artwork.
Tell your story Charlestown. So much history with such a rich historical background, it’s time to get moving and provide the community and visitors pictures, quotes, or other relevant information about our community.
What about other possibilities such as flowers, gardens, birds, boats, endless, timeless, pictures can add to the vibrant, diverse, and beautiful community we all live in.
Mayor Wu announced the applications are open for the 2022 Paint Box Program. The office of Arts & Culture will be holding two virtual info sessions on Wednesday, May 11 at noon and 6pm for artists interested in applying.
The deadline to apply for the program is Friday, May 27, at 5pm. Learn more at boston.gov/ paintbox.
