CYHA Update – Mite Playoffs Edition
•MITES: The Mite 1 Townies finished in first place on the season with a 14-4-2 record, which was more than two game ahead of Watertown and Waltham 4. They have earned a bye in the first round of the playoffs this weekend, but will face Brookline 2 or Waltham 2 on March 9…The Mites 2 finished the season 10-10 and in fourth place. They will play #5 Natick on Sunday in Cambridge…The Mite 3 team burst into second place last Sunday on the heels of a last-second goal by Magdalena Maynard – who pushed a shot from mid-ice in the final seconds to score the winning goal. That miraculous goal secured second place for Mites 3 and Coaches Brian Beisel and Paul Cangiano. They finished 10-10 on the season. They will play Brookline or the Leafs on Saturday, March 9 in Cambridge…The Mite 4 team under Coach Ryan Sutton has finished the season on a 4-1 stretch with a record of 10-9 on the season. That was good for third place. They will play Belmont 3 on Saturday in Waltham.

Charlestown Little League Sign-ups

Charlestown Little League has winter clinics on Mondays at the Community Center on Medford St. through the end of March: 6-7 p.m. for 4-7 year-olds and 7-8 p.m. for 8-12 year-olds. The last winter clinic is on March 18.
