In a time honored tradition, more than 100 Naval Chief Select candidates marched up to the Monument and on to the Warren Prescott School on Tuesday morning, Aug. 21, for the annual Navy Day. Navy Day brings Chief Select candidates and their Naval mentors from all over the world to the Charlestown school to help do one day of very hard work to spruce up the school before opening next month. Chief Selects are in the process of becoming Chief Petty Officers, and must come to the Navy Yard and USS Constitution for their heritage training. Part of that training
includes tremendous volunteer work in the community. The tradition has unfolded for decades.
