I always wanted to say the above. They say it all the time on TV news programs even if the news broke long ago. Earlier this week, a tractor-trailer going around Sullivan Square tipped over on its side spilling everything out onto the road tying up morning rush hour traffic. Can I tell you I never drive around a rotary next to a big truck for that very reason. Don’t want to get flattened like the Wiley Coyote.
POST 11 GAR 50/50 FUNDRAISER
The Abraham Lincoln, Post 11, GAR is currently in the midst of its annual fundraising effort with the winner walking away with $5,000. The drawing will be held at the Warren Tavern on November 15 at 8:30pm with all proceeds helping the post continue its outreach to Charlestown veterans. Once again the Charlestown Boys and Girls Club is holding it annual New England Patriots Game Day Tailgate Style Fundraiser this year versus the Oakland Raiders better known as Howie Long’s old team back in the day. ON THE ROAD TO TEXAS
I will be on the road to my annual Texas vacation next week. Won’t be home until Thanksgiving. I need this annual trek to where I call the real America. Hopefully, will send something back here for the paper when I find the time from all my relaxing.
