Charlestown beat

Robbery

06/07/17 – Officers responded to City Square for a report of a robbery.

The victim said when he met with two men to sell his phone, one of them took it and stated the phone was his before motioning to his waist as if he had a weapon. The suspects then fled the area in a black Honda.

A description was broadcast, and as a result of the subsequent investigation, the two suspects were apprehended and taken into custody. A black .380 Auto Arms handgun containing six rounds was also recovered. The suspects will be charged accordingly.

 

Vandalism

06/09/17 – Officers responded to School Street for a breaking and entering in progress.

Upon arrival, police spoke to the victim, who stated she arrived home to find her front-door windowpane broken. Officers checked the home, but didn’t find anyone inside. At that time, no items appear to have been taken.

 

Warrant Arrest

06/09/17 – Officers in the area of High Street placed an individual under arrest for an outstanding Quincy Court warrant charging violation of an abuse-prevention order.

 

Warrant Arrest

06/10/17 – Officers in the area of Austin Street placed an individual under arrest for an outstanding Charlestown Court warrant charging larceny from a building. The suspect was also in possession of heroin, and will be charged accordingly.
