Charlestown Beat

Burglary

03/06/17 – As a result of a radio call for cars being broken into on Mt. Vernon Street, officers stopped an individual who was carrying several coats and a number of tools. As a result of the subsequent investigation, police learned the property in his possession came from a car that had been broken into, and the individual was placed under arrest.

Larceny

03/08/17 – A victim on Pearl Street reported his upstairs neighbor stole his security camera from the common hallway. According to the victim, this is the second time this has happened. A surveillance video of the crime might be available, and detectives will investigate.

Burglary – No Force

03/08/17 – A victim on Corey Street reported unknown person(s) entered her home through an open window and removed money and electronics from the house.

Robbery-Street

03/09/17 – Officers responded to Bunker Hill Street for a report of a man with a gun. Upon arrival, the victim informed police while he was in his service van two black males approached him. One suspect then twisted his arm behind his back, placed a black handgun to his head and stated, “Give me everything.” The victim complied, and the suspects fled into the Bunker Hill housing development. The matter is under investigation.

Vandalism

03/10/17 – A victim on Tibbetts Town Way reported after an altercation with another individual, he heard a loud bang and saw his windows had been broken. At the same time, he saw the suspect with whom he had the prior altercation holding a baseball bat. As a result of the subsequent investigation, the suspect was placed under arrest.
