Comment on Sullivan Square was missed

 Dear Editor:

Your very well-written and informative article covering the crowded informational session on June 30 with the Boston Transportation Department regarding the Rutherford Avenue design did miss one important comment regarding the link between the short-term redesign of Sullivan Square and the proposal for the long-term redesign of Rutherford Avenue.  All short-term changes to Sullivan Square are required to be completed before the Wynn casino can open in Everett, but Wynn has promised and at the meeting publicly confirmed their commitment that no short-term changes to Sullivan Square will conflict with long-term plans for Rutherford Avenue.  It’s not clear how the timing and schedules of the two projects will be coordinated, but I certainly trust that BTD will be able to enforce Wynn’s commitment.
