DEXTER STREET  TO SULLIVAN SQUARE

How many folks in Charlestown have any idea where Dexter Street is located? No, it isn’t over in the Neck but rather across the Alford Street Bridge. It is the last or first street depending on your direction in Charlestown and a stone’s throw from where the Everett Casino will be located on Route 99. Mention Route 99 and it sounds like one is talking of a highway but a highway it is not. Two lanes of bumper to bumper traffic at rush hours either way and bring on the casino and it looks like pretty much a no win situation for Sullivan Square and all of the town. Wynn won but Townies end up being collateral damage.

FITNESS BOOT CAMP ANYONE?

Anyone check out that new fitness center boot camp down in Sullivan Square at the old Jesuit Mission at the edge of Cambridge Street? With all the increased traffic coming soon, you better be in fit shape on foot to navigate crossing over to and from it and dodging all the vehicles going round and round like a merry-go-round.
