Charlestown’s own comedians Tony V and Steve Sweeney, with Irene (Gillen) Moffat, sister of Brother Francis Gillen, were all on hand last Sunday night, Oct. 25, for a special fundraiser to help continue to the work of Brother Gillen – an elderly man who left Charlestown in the 1940s to do God’s work in places such as the Philippines. The fundraiser – put on by the Gillen Family – attracted some 300 people and put plenty towards the cause.
