Helen Paz

Worked at Schraffs Candy Company in Charlestown Until Its Closing

Helen F. Paz, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, entered into eternal life on Friday, October 17 at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston following a brief illness. She was 71 years old.

Helen was born in Somerville on September 6, 1943, a daughter of the late Faustino Paz and Ethel I. (Kenney) Paz. She grew up in Charlestown and she was educated in the Boston Public School system. Helen worked for over 30 years as a packer for Schraffts Candy Company in Charlestown until the company closed. Helen enjoyed her family and was most appreciative along with her siblings to her niece Judy Cleveland and great-niece J.C. Young for the love and care they showed Helen for many years.

Helen was the devoted sister of Charles “Chuck” Paz, Mary “Sissy” Cleveland, Gloria Chapman, Shirley Morani, Judy Shanahan, Doris Pucillo, Millie Hawley, John Paz and the late Lillian Paz and the dear aunt to many loving nieces and nephews.

Helen’s Funeral Services and burial will be private.
