Police Briefs 09-05-2013

Larceny

08/26/13 – A victim on Austin Street reported while she was sitting on a bench, she placed her red, flowered tote-bag beneath the bench to her right. About 10 minutes later, she noticed it was gone.

Drugs

08/27/13 – As a result of a drug investigation in the area of O’Meara Court, two individuals were placed under arrest for possession of a Class B drug with intent to distribute.

Violation of the Auto Laws

08/27/13 – As a result of a traffic stop on Medford Street, an individual was placed under arrest for operating a motor vehicle without a license.

Larceny in a Building

08/28/13 – Two separate victims reported to police while on Third Avenue, their lockers were vandalized, and money and a cell phone were stolen, respectively. The incidents were captured on video surveillance-cameras, and detectives are investigating possible suspects.

Larceny – Bicycle

08/28/13 – A victim on High Street reported his wife’s white GMC Denali bike was chained to the rear of his home. A neighbor observed a white male with grey hair in his 50s speeding out of the back yard on the bike. Officers searched the area for the suspect and bicycle to no avail.

Robbery – Unarmed

08/29/13 – A victim stated while walking on Bunker Hill Street near Monument Street, a suspect approached her from behind and pulled her handbag from her shoulder. The victim fell to the ground, and the contents of the bag spilled out. The victim picked up the items, but noticed her house keys were missing. The suspect fled on foot in an unknown direction. The victim told police she would notify her management company to have her locks changed.

Receiving Stolen Property

08/29/13 – Officers in the area of West School Street observed two males at the rear of Whole Foods going through items in a shopping bag. The bag contained numerous articles of clothing, including fleece jackets, sweatpants and shorts – all with the tags still on them. The suspects were also found to be in possession of two pairs of wire cutters. As a result of the subsequent investigation, both men were placed under arrest for receiving stolen property and possession of burglarious tools.
