Beating the Heat

CT1Neighbors Ethan Greatorex, 4, and Reilley Bartlett, 5, of Charlestown found a fun way last week to beat the heat. They were happy for giveaways, fun activities, and a cool water spray feature to play in at Doherty Park in Charlestown during the Mayor’s free Splash Dance Party on July 18. The Boston Parks and Recreation Department presented free Splash Dance Parties for kids and families to beat the heat in City of Boston parks with water spray features. Mayor Thomas M. Menino and the Boston Police Department handed out ice cream from the “Operation Hoodsie Cup” truck. For more information on Boston Parks Department events, please visit www.cityofboston.gov/parks.
