Congratulations to Town Track Club Youth! 53 athletes from the club competed in their first Track meet held at MIT in Cambridge. There were several outstanding performances in the sprints, distance, and jump events.
Its not too late too join! Registration for the 2013 Town Track Club Junior Olympics Track&Field program will remain open thru the end of the season July 28th. Open to youth boys and girls ages 6 to 18. Town Track athletes compete in the USATF Junior Olympics as well as various local meets and races. Charlestown runners were Boston Strong at the 2013 Boston Marathon. 12 Town Track Club male and female runners from 1st time runners to qualifiers represented Charlestown in the team competition placing 9th in New England and 27th overall out of 100+ teams nationwide. The team’s top 3 finished with an average time of 2:46. Interested in running the 2014 Boston Marathon? Runners of all ages and abilities are welcome! Town Track supports runners with weekly group runs, individualized training plans and coaching from 5k to marathon, beginner to seasoned runners.
