The Charlestown Preservation Society Design Review Committee will hold its monthly meeting at the Mary Colbert meeting room located at 20 Devens Street on Monday, April 22, at 7:30 p.m. The meeting room is visible and directly accessible from the sidewalk on the left side at the rear of the building.
The meeting will feature presentation and discussion of the proposed redevelopment of the 1360 feet long 176 year old Ropewalk building in the Navy Yard. The proposal by Joseph Timilty would convert the structure into townhouse apartments and include an interpretative museum of rope making in the building.
