Marching in lockstep from the historic Navy Yard, 75 Chief Petty Officer Selectees from the USS Constitution took over the Warren Prescott School for their annual pre-school cleaning.  Everything from weeding the side garden and painting the playground, power washing the cafeteria and setting up classrooms, the naval officers were instrumental in getting the Warren Prescott in tip top shape for the upcoming school year.

“This is a yearly event that we are so thankful for,” said Michele Davis, Principal of the Warren Prescott School.  “I don’t know what we would do without this wonderful contribution from the Navy as well as the merchants from the surrounding community.”

In addition to the U.S. Navy, supplies were discounted by Charlestown Ace Hardware.  The Warren Prescott Community treated the officers with drinks and pizza from Toni Ann’s Pizza.  Organizers of the event included a combination of dedicated teachers and parents.  Tina Champagne, Katie Alitz, Petra Eldh and Jim Mansfield played an incredible role in organizing all aspects of the day.
