Former Charlestown Boys & Girls Clubhouse Director Jerry Steimel will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award from BOSTnet on Sept. 24. BOSTnet is a non-profit organization whose mission is to enhance the quality and increase the capacity of the out of school time field.
Jerry spent 13 years as Director of the Charlestown Clubhouse before moving on to become the Vice President of Operations of the Boys and Girls Club of Boston. While here Jerry guided the Club through its major physical transformation, as well as overseeing the membership changes of the Club, which had to adjust to the changing demographics.
Jerry is very deserving of the award which is given to an individual who has demonstrated leadership through integrity, tenure and sustained effort to contribute significantly to the mission of an organization and to advance the needs of the out-of-school time field.
Congrats Jerry! We know you still have plenty of work to do, and we look forward to hearing about more of your accomplishments.
