News in Brief

Collaborative art piece

Each year, the children at Charlestown Nursery School create a collaborative art piece inspired by the Bunker Hill Monument.

Using different medium every spring, the block monument represents our commitment to studying history, architecture, fine art, and community. Through integrated and immersive art, we have built monuments with liquid watercolor, mirrored mosaic, recycled paper making, vegetable dyed fabric, printmaking, marbled paper, and metallic embossing.

This year, we are delighted to share selections from the collection, supporting and honoring the 200th anniversary of the Bunker Hill Monument. These can be enjoyed at our exhibit on Main Street or purchased as a notecard set or tea towel.

Set of 8 notecards, $20 each set Venmo @charlestownnurseryschool

Tea Towel, $18 each, Venmo @charlestownnurseryschool

These make lovely commemorative gifts and are a great way for our community to support this historic community moment. Feel free to spread the word.
