Deeply appreciative

I was honored and thrilled to learn of my selection for one of the Old Charlestown Schoolboys Scholarships. I am deeply appreciative of your kindness and support. It will be a big help towards my tuition at Tulane University.

Thank you again,

A great honor

Dear Morrissey Family,

It was a great honor and a privilege to be selected as one of the recipients of the Ryan “DUCE” Morrissey Scholarship in memory of Ryan. I am deeply grateful for your generosity and support as I begin my journey at Tulane University. Your generous scholarship will be a great help towards my tuition at Tulane.

With much appreciation,

Nicholas Carli

2025 Quinn Scholar

Our 2025 Quinn Scholar is Grace Gans Linnane, who is a first in three categories. Our first recipient from East Boston High School. The first winner who will be attending Assumption University from 2025-2029, and the first winner of our enhanced scholarship of $20,000.

Grace maintained a 3.4 GPA, Captain, cheerleading, basketball and softball, what an accomplished scholar athlete. Would you believe she still has time to hostess at the Warren Tavern, assistant the Charlestown Community Center and also works at Baby Boyle Banquets, what a dynamo. She is projecting a career in sports management. The award was presented to Grace at a luncheon with her family and trustees on June 1.  Since we started Mike’s Mission, there have been 26 males and 30 female winners. We have awarded scholarships to 32 Boston Public School graduates and 24 private school graduates, in the amount of $346,500.

We extend our hearty congratulations to Grace. The words of Edward Everett Hale reflect Grace’s character, “Look up and not down, look out and not in , look forward and not back and lend a hand.
