`EY DOG: Ernesto Reyes and Javi the dachshound were ready to celebrate the Blessing of the Animals in Thompson Square on Sunday, Sept. 30. The event brought clergy and parishioners – and their pets – together from St. Mary-St. Catherine of Sienna Parish, St. John’s Episcopal Church, and St. Anthony Shrine. The annual event celebrates the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals.
