LETTER IN SUPPORT OF LYDIA EDWARDS

Dear Editor:

As you may know, Lydia Edwards came within just 77 votes short of claiming the top spot during the primary municipal election in late September and won our neighborhood of Charlestown.  Such a great showing demonstrates that many voters in her district have already concluded that Lydia is not only the best qualified person but that she is the right person to represent their interests on Boston’s City Council.

I firmly believe that had he the good fortune to be with us today, my late friend and mentor, Tom Menino would also recognize Lydia as a person who possesses just the right combination of personal qualities; clear mind, earnest discipline, strong will and perhaps most important among all other qualities, the decent and kind heart needed to successfully serve the needs of her constituents now and in the years to come.  I am sure that if you have already met Lydia, or that after you have met her, you too will agree with this assessment of her character.

I know that many people are busy with the things inherent to surviving today’s hectic pace of life, but I implore you to consider voting for Lydia in this Tuesday’s general election on November 7. I promise that you will not be disappointed in her representation.

Kevin J. Joyce, Esq

Charlestown Resident
