It hardly seems like the first round of Wynn money from the Charlestown Community Impact Fund has settled in the bank accounts of local organizations, and already it’s time for round two.
City officials, Mayor Martin Walsh and fund participants announced this week that application are available for the fund and will be due on Sept. 1.
The Fund Committee will review the applications and will be giving out another $150,000 on Oct. 15.
“This next round of applications is a continuation of the work done in the spring,” said State Rep. Dan Ryan. “Again, I thank Mayor Walsh for negotiating with Wynn to provide this unique opportunity for Charlestown. My hope is that each round of funding acts as a building block toward a cohesive community plan for the future of Charlestown non-profits and other organizations that work daily to improve daily life in our neighborhood.”
Applications for the Charlestown Community Impact Fund’s Fall 2017 grant round are due on Friday, September 1, 2017. Grants will be awarded on October 15, 2017.
All are welcome to apply, whether or not they have received a grant in the past.
Applications can be submitted online via the Web site at boston.gov/charlestownfund or mailed into City Hall to the Office of Administration & Finance, Attn: Charlestown Community Impact Fund, One City Hall Plaza, Room 608, Boston, MA 02201.
