  • HIGH SCHOOL HOCKEY

In the latest MIAA hockey power rankings (RPI), the boys teams included #3 Malden Catholic, #5 B.C. High and #13 Arlington Catholic. The girls teams included #9 Boston Latin and #30 Matignon…Matignon wing Charisse Flanagan tallied an assist in a hard fought 4-3 loss to perennial power St. Mary’s of Lynn. Noble and Greenough wing Sean Wrenn notched an assist in a 5-2 loss to Proctor Academy. Worcester Academy wing Micaela Sindoris slammed home two goals and added an assist in a 7-1 smackdown of Portsmouth Abbey. East Boston defenseman Jacob Leavitt contributed an assist in a back-and-forth 4-3 setback to Christian Brothers Academy (NY).

Malden Catholic wing Cameron Delvalle blasted a goal as the Lancers edged Xaverian at “Frozen Fenway” by a 4-3 score. Matignon wing Maeve Leahy dished out an assist in the Warriors impressive 4-0 blanking of Fontbonne. Noble & Greenough wing Sean Wrenn notched an assist in a 4-3 loss to Lawrence Academy. Boston Latin defenseman Grace O’Neil tallied an assist in a 2-1 triumph over Haverhill.

  • BASKETBALL

Coach Leo Boucher and his St. Clement Anchormen are ranked #6 in Division 4 North in the latest Boston Herald “Super Six” poll. Pope John XXIII forward Patrick Kelly posted 7 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists in the first half as the Tigers pulverized Cristo Rey by a score of 81-47.

Charlestown High standout Franklin Udeh had 27 points, 16 rebounds and 6 blocks and guard Hakeem Summer-Hardy added four three-pointers and six assists as the Townies fricasseed East Boston to the tune of 72-22. C-Town was ranked #25 in the state in the latest Boston Herald poll. Pope John XXIII forward Patrick Kelly garnered 5 points and 14 rebounds in a 69-52 setback to Malden. Coach Leo Boucher’s St. Clement squad vaulted right back into the Catholic Central League mix with a key 67-62 conquest of Lowell Catholic.

  • SWIMMING

In a 132-106 defeat at the hands of Western New England, Elms junior Aislinn Carrier finished 1st in the 200 Freestyle and 200 Freestyle Relay and 2nd in the 50 Freestyle and 100 Breaststroke. Carrier added to her totals in a 167-95 loss to Norwich with a 1st in the 400 Freestyle, a 2nd in the 50 Breaststroke and 100 Freestyle, and a 3rd in the 200 Freestyle Relay.

  • COLLEGE HOCKEY

Salem St. wing Rose Sullivan helped with an assist but it wasn’t enough as the Vikings fell to Sacred Heart by a score of 4-1. Yale wing Mike Doherty posted an assist in the Bulldogs 2-2 tie with St. Lawrence. Maine wing Nolan Vesey deposited a goal in the Black Bears 4-0 conquest of Connecticut.
