Santa,Enchanted Trolley Returns to Thompson Sq on December 4

By Seth Daniel

For those little ones hoping to skip the middleman and get their Christmas list directly into Santa Claus’s hands, Sunday is the golden opportunity to speak directly with the big guy.

Mayor Martin Walsh and Liaison Chris Breen announced this week that the Enchanted Trolley with the mayor and Santa Claus will visit Thompson Square on Sunday, Dec. 4, around 3 p.m. The trolley is often delayed due to the schedule and the numbers of kids around the city that want to speak with Santa, so short delays could happen.

The festivities will begin around 2:45 p.m. when the Warren Prescott Elementary Chorus will begin singing holiday favorites.

There will be hot chocolate, cookies, candy canes and Munchkins. The Winter Wonderland will be set up for all to see, courtesy of a few generous Town residents.

Mayor Walsh, Santa and Mrs. Claus – along with several characters and singers – will arrive on the trolley, sponsored by Old Town Trolley, around 3 p.m.

The annual event is anticipated yearly by many local families.
