Dr. Jeffrey Fine
Otolaryngologist and former professor at UMass Medical School and former Chief of Surgery at St. Vincent’s Hospital
Dr. Jeffrey R. Fine of Charlestown, formerly of Worcester, died on October 25.
A graduate of Dickenson College and Hahneman Medical College, he served in the United States Air Force as a Major during the Vietnam War. Dr. Fine, Otolaryngologist, was a former Professor of Medicine at UMASS Medical School and former Chief of Surgery at St. Vincent’s Hospital, retiring from his practice after 40 years.
He was the beloved husband of Patti (Porter) Fine for 21 years; the loving father of Jordan amd Nissa Fine of Port Washington, NY and Alicia Fine of Brookline; adored grandfather of Iann and Ruby; dear brother of Dr. Kenneth Fine of Connecticut, Dr. David Fine of Florida and the late Larry Fine.
Dr. Fine will be remembered for his love of travel, his acerbic wit and his joy for life. He was dearly loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed.
