Edward Giguere 

Of New Hampshire, formerly of Charlestown

Edward C. Giguere of Manchester, NH, formerly of Charlestown, died on May 2 after a long illness. He was 62 years old.

He retired in 2006 as a result of disabilities after 29 years of service as a shipper with Arthur Blank & Company. He was known and loved by many as a kind and gentle soul with a compassionate heart, a quick wit, and a hearty laugh.

He is survived by his wife, Reggie Giguere of Manchester, NH; his sister, Marjorie Freker of Peabody and by numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family members. He was preceded in death by his brother, Albert Giguere and his sister, Barbara Rock.

Cremation services were private. In lieu of flowers, the American Cancer Society, the Kidney Foundation and/or the American Diabetes Association would welcome your donation in his name.

Noureddine Zoukhri 

Educator

Noureddine Zoukhri of Melrose, formerly of Everett, died suddenly on May 1. He was 58 years old.

A four year French and English Teacher at Waltham High School, he was the beloved husband of 11 years to Paula Jean (Greatorex) Zoukhri; beloved son of Habiba (Froukh) Zoukhri and the late Mohammed Zoukhri of Morocco; devoted brother of Abdelillah Zoukhri and his wife, Fouzia of Morocco, Said Zoukhri of Lybia and Driss Zoukhri and his wife, Roxolana of Malden; son-in-law of Froggy Greatorex and the late Dotty Greatorex of Everett; bother-in-law of Jimbo Greatorex and his wife, Michelle of Wakefield, Jacko Greatorex and his wife, Sandy of Charlestown and the late Karen and Dotty Greatorex; loving uncle of Raja, Sarah, Julia and Isis Zoukhri, Matthew, Jamie, Emma Greatorex and Casey Dolaher and great-uncle of Avery Libby. He is also survived by many other family members and friends.

Daniel Waldron 

Woburn Resident 

Daniel J. Waldron of Woburn died on May 1. He was 86 years old.

A US Navy veteran of World War II, he was the husband of the late Ann E. “Betty” (McGarry) Waldron; father of Philip Waldron of Woburn, Susan Willows and her husband, Brad of Woburn, and Thomas Waldron of Charlestown; grandfather of Jordan Willows of Woburn; brother of Richard Waldron of Florida, the late Mary Franey, the late Philip Waldron, and the late Thomas Waldron. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Francis ‘Frank’ Hayes, Sr. 

Of Everett, formerly of Charlestown 

Francis “Frank” J. Hayes, Sr. of Everett, formerly of Charlestown, died on May 1.

A member of the Everett Elks and P.E.R. life member, he was the beloved husband of Mary Ann (Miranda); loving father of Francis, Jr. and his wife, Gina of Woburn, Colleen Frondutto and her husband, Alan, Kevin, Eric and Steven Hayes, as well as the late Mary Frances; brother of Edward Hayes, Helen Venezia, Linda Edmunds, Michael Venezia, Jean Culity and the late Margaret Robinson, Daniel Hayes and Joan Fowler. He is survived by six loving grandchildren and three great grandchildren and is the son-in-law of Chuck and Phyllis Miranda.

Helen Kucenski

Helen M. (Noyce) Kucenski of Malden died on April 30. She was the beloved wife of the late John Kucenski; dear foster mother of Helen Garafano of Charlestown; dear companion of Anthony Fucaloro of Everett and cherished sister of Angela Salaze of California, Barbara Allison of Whitman, Janis Rouch of Ohio, Harold Noyce of Randolph, Jeffery Noyce of Windham, NH, and Phillip Noyce of Delaware. She is also survived by six nieces and seven nephews.

Albert Chardavoyne 

Charlestown Resident 

Albert G. Chardavoyne of Charlestown died on May 6.

A US Army veteran of World War II, he was the beloved husband of the late Nora A. (Madden); devoted father of Albert F. “Butch” and his wife, Ruthellen Chardavoyne and Robert F. Chardavoyne, all of Charlestown.; grandfather of Amy and her husband, Robert Yandle, Mark and his wife, Kathleen Chardavoyne and Matthew Chardavoyne, all of Charlestown and great grandfather of Nora and Brenna Yandle and Isabelle and Jack Chardavoyne.

His Funeral will be held from the John H. Sawyer Funeral Home, 329 Bunker Hill St., Charlestown, today, Thursday, May 10 at 9:10 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Francis de Sales Church at 10 o’clock. Relatives and friends are invited. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden. In lieu of flowers, remembrances in Al’s name may be made to St. Francis de Sales Church Bldg. Fund, 303 Bunker Hill St., Charlestown, MA 02129.

Daniel Farris 

Past President G.A.R. Auxiliary Post 11 and Bunker Hill Post American Legion Member 

Daniel E. Farris of Charlestown died on May 5.

He was a US Army Vietnam veteran, Past President of G.A.R. Auxilary (Post #11) and a member of Bunker Hill Post #26 A.L.

The beloved husband of the late Kathleen (Monroe), he was the devoted father of Eric, Dawn and Daniel, Jr., all of Milwaukee, WI.; son of Patricia A. (Quinn) and the late Myles E. Farris; brother of Edward, Michael and James “Porky” Farris and the late John “Jay” Farris and is also survived by three grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements were by the John H. Sawyer Funeral Home, Charlestown. Burial was private.
