Mayor Thomas Menino, City Councillor Sal LaMattina, Senator Sal DiDomenico, Representative Gene O’Flaherty, and the membership of Charlestown Against Drugs invite all those men, women and children who take in interest in the well-being of Peter Lonney Park to gather for fun and entertainment, Saturday, 10:00 a.m. on May 28.
According to the wishes of the late Mr. Looney and all those mentioned above who had so much to do with the development of the park, they were to meet once a year on the anniversary of its dedication to celebrate. . There will be face-painters, a puppet show, a bit of a spring cleaning, refreshments and everyone is invited. So come one and all to rededicate Peter Looney Park.
