Lt. Governor Tim Murray will be heading up a press conference on April 4 at 10 a.m. at the Charlestown Hockey Rink to announce further funding being directed to its full rehabilitation and updating.
Rep. Gene O’Flaherty will be co-hosting the event with the Lt. Governor.
To be announced, is the nearly $700,000 in funding both men have been largely responsible for steering toward the skating rink during the past year.
So far, a new roof and piping system have been installed.
It is expected the Lt. governor and O’Flaherty will be announcing more improvements to be made and more funding that has been made available to make this happen.
The press conference is open to the public. The friends of the ice rink and local residents are invited to attend.
